The ability to impact lives and to inform has always been a focus of mine.  I was fortunate to find a career that allows me to do both.  In Wealth Management, I enjoy the opportunity to build relationships with individual investors, families, and businesses in the creation, implementation, and execution of strategies that work toward specific goals we set together.

I coordinate and work in tandem with other professionals who include CPAs, Estate Planning Attorneys, and Insurance Specialists to execute needed actions for my clients.  I have always and will continue to strive to serve my clients in a fashion where the only bias is what is best for them.

I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida A & M University in Tallahassee Florida.  Prior to finding my calling, I worked several years at Ford Motor Company traveling the Midwest helping dealerships grow their businesses.  I started working as a Financial Advisor in 2007 with Edward Jones in Oak Park IL.  I moved that practice into the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago in 2014 and then left to open Jeller Wealth Management in December of 2019.

I hold the Series 7, 24, and 66 Registrations.  In addition, I have my Life and Health Insurance Agent Licenses.  Currently I am securities registered in 27 states and the District of Columbia along with the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, NYSE American LLC, and FINRA.

My wife Joslyne and I live in Chicago along with our 3 children who keep us active, inspired, and full of pride.  We are also dog owners and enjoy volunteering in our community.

I grew up in a small town called Murphysboro in Southern Illinois with my two parents who are both schoolteachers. I attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where I received a Bachelor’s in Science within Financial Analytics.  During my matriculation, I established a network of like-minded individuals where I was able to accelerate my learning and skills within the financial industry.

I believe landing in this industry is where I can utilize my two true passions, teaching and investing.  Teaching others has always been a devotion of mine stemming from my parents. In my profession, I am able to do the two things that bring me great joy, teaching others and investing.

I started on my career path as a Financial Advisor intern and upon graduation; I joined Edward Jones as an Advisor.  I have held the Series 7, 66, and SIE Registrations along with Life, Health, and Disability licenses. I am currently a level 1 candidate in becoming a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

As a Registered Client Services Associate with JELLER Wealth Management, I assist the coordination of Asset Allocation, Risk Management, and Portfolio Measurements to help our clients achieve their goals.

Outside of my passions, I enjoy going to the gym and experiencing new things in my new hometown.

Establishing and fostering strong relationships with excellent service has been the benchmark for my professional and personal lives.  It started when I attended Loyola University in Chicago where I received my Bachelors of Science in Psychology.  I built on my passion for getting a deep understanding of others and their needs by becoming an Allstate Agent then ultimately an Agency Owner.  In that vocation, I also met my wife who was and is an owner of an insurance office.

As my career developed, I decided there was more opportunity to service my clients and others through transitioning to a Financial Advisor.  I made that change in 2001 and worked as a Financial Advisor with a number of firms, including Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Edward Jones.  During that time, I have held the Series 6, 7, 31, 63, 65, and SIE Registrations along with Life, Health, and Disability licenses.  At each institution I was able to learn their best practices and integrate them into my individual guidelines on client management.

My personal life involves spending time with my wife and our daughter who is a Registered Nurse.  We enjoy traveling as a family when our busy schedules permit.  I also work with at-risk and special needs youth in the Chicagoland area.  I enjoy relaxing with a good book and building my collection of antique American coins.
